Geraldine Larkin, CEO

Geraldine Larkin has led the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) since March 2017. Her leadership is rooted in delivering the highest quality processes across the NSAI to facilitate growth and innovation right across the industry landscape and provide reassurance across a range of areas of public interest. Geraldine is an effective influencer, decision maker, change agent and team builder and has a keen interest in using standards and regulation to support the growth of Irish industry.

Chris Morrell, Vice President & General Manager of NSAI Inc

Christopher M. Morrell has over 20 years experience working with a Certification Body/Notified Body.  As Vice President & General Manager of NSAI, Inc., Chris has many responsibilities with both Management Systems Certifications as well as Medical Devices.  He has proudly represented NSAI in many industry activities and associations, been part of the NSAI, Inc. Board and is a representing member of the Executive Management Team for The NSAI as a whole. Chris would be quick to credit his team, colleagues from across the organization and the clients we represent to our success.

Enda McDonnell, Director of Standards and Metrology

Enda is the Director of Standards, the Legal Metrology Service (LMS) and the National Metrology Laboratory (NML). Enda is currently a member of the CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) CA (Administrative Board) and is also the Secretary of the Irish National Committee for IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). 

Frank Collins, Director of Strategy & Corporate Services

A senior executive with 30+ years’ experience covering a broad range of sectors including finance, recruitment, aviation, construction and telecommunications.  Frank has worked for both small and large organisations including being General Manager and Global Business leader of a multi-national company.  He is a fellow of the Chartered Accountants of Ireland and the first Life Honorary Fellow of the Employment and Recruitment Federation.

Kevin D. Mullaney, Director of Certification

Kevin D. Mullaney has over 35 years of experience in the areas of Management System Certification, Product Testing and CE Mark Approvals for global TIC organisations. In his current role, Kevin serves as the Director of Certification with top level responsibility for the NSAI Divisions covering Business Excellence, Sustainability and Built Environment, Modern Method of Construction, and Automotive Certification.

Nakisa Harmes, Director of Medical Devices

Nakisa Harmes joined NSAI in May 2024, bringing extensive international experience to her role as Director of Medical Devices where she oversees our global MDR and IVDR Notified Bodies. Previously, Nakisa held senior leadership positions at Det Norske Veritas and Intertek, where she successfully led European Notified Bodies under the MDR with her strategic acumen, compliance focus and operational excellence, and continuous improvement mindset. Nakisa holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Brighton.

Peter FitzPatrick, Head of Human Resources

With over two decades experience working in Human Resources, Organisation Development, and Learning & Development across the civil/public sectors, Peter FitzPatrick has been NSAI’s Head of Human Resources since March 2020. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, IPA, NCI, and the University of South Wales, and holding a BBS Degree, Postgraduate Diploma in HR, and an MSc in HRM, Peter is especially skilled in Recruitment & Selection, Learning & Development, and Strategic HR. He is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, a Fellow of the Learning & Development Institute (L&DI) and a Member of the IMI Council.
