NSAI has launched a public consultation for the draft I.S. 437:2024 Horse and stud fencing – timber post and rail.
Public consultation period: From Monday 22nd July 2024 until Friday 30th August 2024, inclusive.
The scope of the draft:
This Irish Standard specifies materials, test methods, marking, packaging, transport and on-site storage requirements for timber post and rail used for horse and stud fencing. This standard also includes requirements for electric rope, electric tape and specialised horse fencing wire used in horse and stud fencing.
Fencing arrangements are defined for:
⎯ Boundary fencing;
⎯ Paddock fencing;
⎯ Lunging & turnout areas.
