The National Standards Authority of Ireland is calling for experts in Ireland to participate in standardisation in the field of medical imaging and radio diagnostics.
A new technical committee has been established to develop European standards in the field of medical imaging and radio diagnostics. The objective is to ensure quality and risk management in patient care in any type of medical imaging structure (public and private departments, services and facilities. For more information see the CEN/TC 470.
The first meeting of CEN TC 470 of this newly established European standard technical committee, is scheduled to take place October 20th, in France. Participation in the work of this TC is possible through NSAI standards committees.
NSAI is seeking national stakeholders who have an interest in this area to review the development of these new standards. All members of the European Union are obliged to adopt and publish European standards as national standards. Therefore, it is important that Irish stakeholders are involved in the development of standards in this area to ensure national interests are represented in their development.
