NSAI calls for experts in Ireland to participate in standardisation in the area of installation and equipment for LNG
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is calling for experts in Ireland to participate in standardisation in the area of installation and equipment for LNG (liquified natural gas).
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is inviting expressions of interest in getting involved in the standardisation work of CEN/TC 282 "Installation and equipment for LNG". The national mirror committee following and contributing to CEN/TC 282 is NSAI/TC 01/SC 07 (GTSC TC 8) "LPG & LNG installations, equipment and storage".

CEN/TC 282 Scope:
Developing and maintaining standards in the field of installations, equipment and procedures used for production, transportation, transfer, storage, regasification and use of LNG, taking into account the programme of work of other CEN technical committees dealing with LNG. Standardization covers the supply chain from the inlet to the outlet of the relevant natural gas/LNG facilities, and comprises both onshore and offshore siting options for them. Standardization involves contribution to and adoption of ISO standards (under Vienna Agreement) as well of development of homegrown European standards. CEN/TC 282 further coordinates questions concerning LNG in the technical work of technical committees dealing with cryogenic equipment.
CEN/TC 282 are planning to commence work on the following standards:
EN 13645, Installations and equipment for liquefied natural gas - Design of onshore installations with a storage capacity between 5 t and 200 t
EN 1473, Installation and equipment for liquefied natural gas - Design of onshore installations
EN 12838, Installations and equipment for liquefied natural gas - Suitability testing of LNG sampling systems
